Security Begins at Home
The Platform of The Pasco County Democratic Party

Our Vision:

    • Real National Security
    • Energy Independence
    • Honest Leadership & Open Government
    • Economic Prosperity & Educational Excellence
    • A Healthcare System That Works for Everyone
    • Retirement Security

“But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new guards for their future security."

Declaration of Independence, July 4, 1776

Pasco Democrats believe that the Republican "message of fear" must be replaced by a positive Democratic "message of vigilance" that will achieve real security for our home, state, and nation.

  • The signing of the Kyoto Treaty to lessen harmful emissions into the environment.
  • The idea that while a strong military is essential, all efforts at resolving conflict should stress "diplomacy before gunfire"

“We are not afraid to entrust the American people with unpleasant
facts, foreign ideas, alien philosophies, and competitive values. For a nation that is afraid to let its people judge the truth and falsehood in an open market is a nation that is afraid of its people.”

John F. Kennedy
